What we Believe

God: Our Creator

There is one true God, and He is unlike us in every way. He has no beginning and no end. We know Him as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three persons, yet one God. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, the source of life and the ruler over all creation. He alone is all-powerful, all-knowing, and sovereign over everything. And in His grace and love, He desires for us to know Him.

God is beyond our comprehension, yet He has revealed Himself to us in His Word and through His Son, Jesus Christ, so that we might know Him and glorify Him.

The Bible: God's Book

The Bible stands apart from every other book because its human authors were divinely inspired, guided, and equipped by God. Through the Holy Spirit, God ensured that every word written was exactly what He intended. Not only was Scripture divinely inspired, but it has also been faithfully preserved throughout history, demonstrating God’s sovereign care over His Word.

We believe the Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God, given for all humanity. It is completely sufficient and eternally relevant, providing guidance, truth, and hope for every aspect of our daily lives.

Why Do We Believe This: 2 Timothy 3:15-16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 119, Isaiah 40:8, 1 Peter 1:23-25, Luke 24:44

Jesus: God Became Man

Jesus Christ is God who became man. He is the eternal Word, fully God and fully man, who took on human flesh to dwell among us. Born of a virgin, He is the perfect revelation of God to humanity. Though He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, Jesus humbled Himself, taking the form of a servant, and lived in perfect obedience to the Father.

Jesus came to redeem sinners by offering His life as a ransom. Through His death on the cross and His resurrection, He triumphed over sin and death, securing salvation and eternal life for all who trust in Him. After completing His work on earth, He ascended into Heaven, where He now reigns in glory. One day, He will return to judge the living and the dead and establish His eternal kingdom.

God became man so that we might know Him, be reconciled to Him, and worship Him forever. Jesus offers this salvation freely to all who repent and believe.

Humanity: God's Creation

God created humanity—male and female—as special and distinct from all other creatures, making us in His own image and for His glory. As image-bearers, we were designed to reflect His character and fulfill His purposes on earth.

However, the first man and woman disobeyed God, introducing sin into the world. As a result, all humanity is now born with a sinful nature and separated from God, destined for both physical and spiritual death. This inherited sinfulness cannot be fixed, cured, erased, or forgiven by any human effort.

Why Do We Believe This: Genesis 1:26-28, Isaiah 43:7, Romans 5:12, Genesis 3, Romans 3:23, Ezekiel 18:20

Salvation: God's Gift

God has not left humanity without hope. Though we are sinful and deserving of divine judgment, God became a man in Jesus Christ to take the judgment we deserve. Jesus, the sinless Son of God, willingly offered Himself as the propitiation for our sins, satisfying God’s righteous wrath and justice through His sacrifice on the cross. By His resurrection, He conquered sin and death, securing eternal life for all who trust in Him.

Jesus extends divine mercy to anyone who believes in Him. Salvation is not something we can earn; it is a gift of grace through faith. Jesus is the only Savior for all humanity, and He freely offers eternal life to the undeserving through His perfect life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection.

Church: God's People

The local church is a community of baptized believers, united by faith in Jesus Christ. They gather regularly for worship, evangelism, and fellowship, devoted to the teachings of Jesus and committed to obeying all His commands. As the body of Christ, the church exists to proclaim the gospel to the world and to live in loving unity, striving together for the glory of Jesus.

Through the work of the Holy Spirit, the church is built on the foundation of Christ and the apostles, with Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. It is a sacred assembly entrusted with the care of one another, the proclamation of the gospel, and the celebration of the ordinances.
