WHAT WE BELIEVE

God: Our Creator

There is one true God and He is not like us. He has no beginning and there is no end to Him. We know Him as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the creator and sustainer of all. He alone is all-powerful and all-knowing. And He wants us to know Him.

Why we believe it:

Genesis 1:1-2, John 1:1-3, Mark 1:9-11, Deuteronomy 6:4, Revelation 4:8-11

Bible: God’s Book

The Bible is unlike any other book in the world because it’s human authors were divinely prepared, motivated, and guided by God. Not only did God divinely inspire the writing of scripture but the Bible has been divinely preserved through its copies. We simply believe that the Bible is God’s Word for all Humanity and is completely relevant to our daily lives.

Why we believe it:

2 Timothy 3:15-16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 119, Isaiah 40:8, 1 Peter 1:23-25, Luke 24:44

Jesus: God Become Man

Jesus is the one true God who became human. He was virgin born, lived sinless, died for the sins of all humanity, resurrected after three days, commissioned his followers, ascended into Heaven, and will return to earth again. Jesus is the only Saviour who can offer eternal life and He offers this salvation freely to all.

Why we believe it:

Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18-23, 1 Timothy 3:16, John 1:1-14, John 14:6-9, Colossians 1:12-20, Philippians 2:5-11, Titus 3:3-6, Revelation 1:17-18

HumanityGod’s Creation

God created male and female special and distinct from all His other creations because He made us in His own image and for His glory. The first man and woman sinned and as a result all humanity is now born naturally sinful and destined for death. Our sinfulness can not be fixed, cured, erased, or forgiven by any of our own efforts.

Why we believe it:

Genesis 1:26-28, Isaiah 43:7, Romans 5:12, Genesis 3, Romans 3:23, Ezekiel 18:20

SalvationGod’s Gift

God has not left Humanity without hope. We are sinful and deserving of divine judgment, but God became a man (Jesus) so He could receive the divine judgment we deserve. Jesus suffered as the sacrifice for all humanity on the cross. He was sinless and undeserving of judgment but He willingly took our judgment so that He may now offer us divine mercy.

Jesus’ good news to humanity is He can and will give mercy to anyone and everyone who believes in Him. Jesus is the only Saviour for all humanity. Jesus offers the undeserving (us) eternal life through His life, death, and resurrection.

Why we believe it:

Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, John 14:6, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Isaiah 53, Romans 1:6, Romans 10:9-13,  Acts 4:12, Hebrews 12:2

They are committed to the teachings of Jesus and obeying all of His commands. They seek to proclaim Jesus’ gospel to the world and they strive for loving unity for the purpose of glorifying Jesus.

Why we believe it:

Acts 20:28, 1 Corinthians 12:13, 1 Corinthians 11:23-31, Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 2:20-22, Philippians 1:27, Isaiah 49:5-7
